Known as "Pride of Lowell (Massachusetts)", Dicky Eklund Jr.'s most notorious fame is the 1978 boxing match with Sugar Ray Leonard, in which Eklund defeated Leonard, who eventually won the match. In 1996, Eklund, now a cracker addict, stands in front of the camera as an HBO film crew shoots a documentary about him whose focus he (falsely) considers his boxing comeback to be almost 40 years old. For the past ten years he has also been one of the two coaches for his ten-year-old half-brother Micky Ward, known primarily as a thug that other boxers use as a springboard for better boxers. Both careers are led by her dominant mother, Alice Ward, who thinks it better to keep everything in the family. Due to his cravings Dicky is unreliable. A move by Dicky and Alice in one of Mickey's struggles makes Micky realize that his boxing career is stalled and perhaps even neglected by the two who look after themselves. This attitude is supported by Mickey's new girlfriend, drop-out and now local bartender Charlene Fleming. When Micky tries to box a life without Dicky and Alice - much to her annoyance - he has to find out where they fit into his life, especially since they do not get on with Charlene, if at all. These decisions become more important the further Micky ascends and wins the welterweight championship.
Drama Movie made in 2010, was a very famous film after release in cinema. First of all, I need to say that The Fighter is not like the other Drama movies made according to the usual scheme. The Fighter is kind of surprise of 2010, the rest of movies made in United States wasn't as successful as this one. I couldn't forget about the great cast, Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg really did their work perfectly. David O. Russell directed The Fighter in 2010. To start watching, you just need to click the button on the player, if it does not work, then report the movie to support. Not working player will be replaced with the working one within the next 24 hours.
