In the near future, people can put a timer on their wrist that counts down until they meet their soul mate, as long as that person has a timer as well. The step-sisters Oona and Steph, nearly 30, are slaves to their timers: Stephs will not go out for years and Oonas is empty (her soulmate does not have any). Then Oona meets Mikey and Steph Ben. Mikey is younger than Oona, a bit bohemian, his timer expires in four months: he likes Oona and invites her to go with the stream for a change. Ben does not have a timer for his own reasons, but he likes Steph and that's mutual. Is there room for love in this scientific world - and would anyone know if it stared at them?
